Molly's First Year

I can't believe it, but sweet Little Miss Molly has been in her forever home for a year now!

September 14th is the day she came into our lives, and the day we have designated as her birthday.

If you haven't read the story of how this sweet angel came into our world, hop on over to this post and catch up.

She's such a huge part of our lives now it's hard to believe there was ever a time she wasn't here!

Our phones and cameras are full of photos of Molly and her sisters, Monkey and Lily - we just love our little furbabies so much and they bring us so much joy!

Settle in and be prepared to be overwhelmed with cuteness.....here's a peek in pictures at what Little Miss Molly's been up to this year!

Molly on her way home from the transport vehicle - she looks so excited to get to her forever home!

I think it's probably because she was in a cage in her previous life, but this little girl loves to do her 'zoomies' around the back garden....and sometimes in the living room/dining room!

She LOVES to play with toys, and often they are nearly as big as she is!

Molly seems to have only two speeds - on and off! She's either playing and on the move or completely conked out!

Molly and The Monkey are the best of friends, and you rarely see one without the other these days.

Neither one of them is overly fond of baths, although Miss Molly has gotten much better with them in the past year....that's what happens when you frequently find something stinky to roll in during your garden zoomies!

She's such a little goofball and makes us laugh every single day with her goofy faces, poses, and antics.

Sweetie says she's brought new life into this house, and he's right.

We love this pretty little princess so much, and are so grateful that she found her way into our lives.

I leave you with scenes from Molly's First Christmas.....

Happy Birthday sweet baby Molly! We look forward to loving you for many, many more years!

xoxo

  3. These pictures just melt my heart! I have my Jazzy, but I can't allow her on the furniture because she sheds so bad. I was hoping to have a small dog to cuddle with and stuff, but the dog hair is so bad. I love that Molly is happy in her forever home!

    1. My Jacks shed pretty badly too, Carol - I have something that looks like a yellow squeegee that helps take the hair off the white chairs, which seem to be their favorites. The sofa is slipcovered, so that one is easier by far.

  6. Good golly, Miss Molly! This is the best kind of post! After what she went through, she is in doggie heaven. She certainly would be easy to spoil. My grandpugs, Beaux and Dak, do zoomies. Dak is a rescue.

    1. She cracks me up when she takes off on a rip around the garden, Donna! She's such a funny little thing! When we play ball in the back garden with Monkey, Molly never chases the ball....but she chases Monkey!

  7. She is just adorable. I can see why you love her so much. Isn't it great how dogs adapt to and accept one another. Just love that about them. It's their 'pack' mentality to love and care for one another. <3

    1. It took a little while to get the others used to her....well, really Monkey was the issue, as I knew she would be, as she is definitely the pack leader. Good thing Molly is so subservient, it worked out perfectly!

  9. Debbie,

Molly is precious! I have to go back and read how she came into your life. I have a little chihuahua mix who is so much like Molly. And Monkey~~is he a Jack Russell? He is a slightly different version of my Milo, who is a rat terrier, cousin of the JR. And they look so much alike. I know you read my blog and IG, so I think you've probably seen pics of my little babies!!!

They bring so much love into our lives, mine are getting quite old and you know, Milo has really been straddling the line as far as how much he'll be around. Another good reason to shout out: These are the best of friends!!!! Happy Birthday, Molly! :)))

    1. Hi Jane, yes my other two dogs are Jacks - they are mother/daughter. Definitely a very close relation to the rat terrier! The Mom (Lily) is 16 now and she is certainly showing her age, with sore joints and lumps and bumps. She's having more and more accidents too...poor thing, it's not her fault, she was always such a good girl, she can't help it.

    1. You are so right, PJ - she has no idea how tiny she is! She chased a flock of turkeys into the tree tops the other day and they were twice the size of her at least! It was pretty funny to watch!

  13. Can Miss Molly be any sweeter? When you said she has two speeds I couldn’t but think of a child...they’re the same way. lol

It’s so adorable the way she just fit right in as if she was always part of your family. And don’t get me started on that pic of the monkey kissing her! Too cute!
