Fall Fashion Over 50

I can't believe I'm writing a post about fall fashion for women over 50....because I can't believe that I'm 50!  How did that happen so quickly?

Uggghhh. Things certainly change a lot on a woman's body between 40 and 50, that's for sure. No doubt I'll look back in 10 years when I'm 60 and wish to be 50 again, but right now I'm just trying to get used to my life at 50.

I don't wear jeans as often as I used to....I can't stand the feel of anything tight around my middle these days.

My go-to outfit for work is a tunic over leggings. In the summer I wear sandals, and in the winter either boots or booties.

I've been scouting around online at some of the tunics that look nice for fall, and wanted to share a few with you today. There's nothing more comfortable for every-day wear than a tunic with a pair of leggings!  Amazon has some amazing choices, isn't it just amazing how you can buy almost anything on Amazon?  The prices are fantastic, most of these are under $20!

Women's Cowl Neck Tunic

Check out this cute tunic with the cowl neck - this would look adorable with either black or brown boots!

Button Side Sweater Tunic
The buttons on the side of this tunic are so adorable, and I love the orange color for fall. I'd pair this with black leggings and either black or saddle brown boots.

Women's 3/4 Sleeve Tunic
I love the embroidery on this one, and the lighter fabric would be great for anyone who is experiencing hot flashes. This would look great with my grey boots.

Women's Floral Tunic
I actually have this one, I wear it with the buttons open and either a yellow or red tank top underneath. My sweetie loves this shirt, he comments on it nearly every time I wear it!  It's also a lighter fabric, and I was able to wear it all summer long.

Women's Baseball Tee
How adorable is this? I have always been a fan of a baseball tee! The 3/4 sleeves are perfect, and I love the rounded hem on this, and the red accent color.

Women's Flowy Henley
Oh boy, I think I'm in love! The 3/4 sleeves, the floral print, the V neck....it's perfect! This tunic is a little more than the others at $29 but it's so pretty!!!

What's your go-to outfit for fall?

    1. Uggghhh everything changes, doesn't it??? Of course if I didn't like food so much perhaps I'd be a little twig, but unfortunately being a foodie comes with it's own set of issues!

    1. The one I did about fall fashion over 40 a few years back has consistently been my highest ranking post, Lisa, so I guess you're right!!

  3. I am turning 65 next month! My go to fall outfits are jeans and a cozy sweater. Or jeans and a long sleeve plaid flannel shirt with a puffer vest.

    1. I wear jeans sometimes when we're going out, but more for fashion than comfort Penny. I adore leggings, they are so easy to slip into and to dress up with boots and a pretty tunic!

  4. I'm with you on 50...ever since I turned 50 (many, many years ago), comfort has become my main goal! I love leggings and am always looking for some cute shirts to go with them. These are some great choices...I love them. My fav is the orange, orange is my color! :-) Love and hugs!

    1. I should be grateful for every day I've got, instead of lamenting over being 50!!! Thanks for the reminder, my friend!

  7. I had a hard time turning 50, too. And now I'm 56. It really freaks me out that I'm nearing 60!! I keep thinking that can't be right. I don't like wearing jeans anymore either for the same reason - they cut into my belly. And I've tried every brand and every style. I wear jeans when I'm out in public, but at home I live in leggings. I like the tunics and shirts you showed us, but I never order clothes online. I have to see things in person and feel the material.

    1. I don't live near any clothing stores, so I often order things online, Melanie! It works out - most of the time - and when it doesn't, I return it!

  8. I am 61. I have new leggings I bought three years ago and have yet to wear them. You settle into a routine after 60 I think and you just want the same old same old. Your choices are very pretty!

  9. Just wait til your'e in your SIXTIES1--girlfriend, the best is yet to come! Love this post. I love cute outfits. I like to wear long tunics and long blouses over leggings too, very comfortable look. In the winter, boots. Summertime I wear slip on sandals. I love the floral top here, I love floral anything, it looks embroidered, is it? I love embroidery but even just plain floral it's cute. In my post today I have on one of my favorite blouses I've just worn it to pieces almost, LOL--it's long and cool comfortable cotton, great for this hot weather, and it's a floral print on black, my favorite. I also wear alot of dresses and gypsy skirts, all year round. I'm getting ready to get out my velvets for Fall/Winter, I love wearing velvet. Fun post! Hope you're having a great Fall weekend up there, my friend!

    1. I love florals and velvet, too!! The floral top that I have is not embroidered, I'm not sure if the other one is, but I wore it again the other day and once again Sweetie told me how much he likes that top!

  10. These are all great choices and I know would look great with leggings. I am a tunic girl too and some of these are so cute I am going to check it out. I turned 60 in April and thought that same thing as you do. Where di the decade of 50 go and how did I turn 60 already. It is all about the joy and freedom we feel as we get older.
Age is just a number and it is how you feel that is what you need to be concerned with. I do not feel any older at 60 then I did at 59. Just embrace the 50's you are going to love them.

    1. I would probably love them a lot more if I didn't work so hard, Kris!!! If I could spend my days in the garden and the kitchen I'd be a ton more satisfied being in my 50's!

  11. Oh my gosh! 50 is so young! I don't want to believe that I turned 76 in September. The years add up way too quickly. I love the tunics, and the orange one is my favorite too. This was a fun post.

  13. Oh Debbie. I'm not wishing you ill will, but I wish you were in your 60's like me so that you could help me with clothing. I hate everything and look even worse. Ugh. I love leggings and tops but not sure they look good on me cuz I'm a little heavier than I was.... You have picked out some gorgeous tops. Gonna have to look on Amazon. Have a great week

  14. With fall, I reach for jeans more often. However, I now prefer the high rise versus mid-rise. I'm donating any low-rise that are left in my closet. Pretty tunics -- thanks for sharing!
