We awoke to a lovely surprise this morning - a true winter wonderland, which was not part of the weather forecast I heard last night.
The Good Things Comin' |
It made me smile on a morning when I didn't feel like smiling.
The Good Things Comin' |
Why, you ask, did I not feel like smiling?
The Good Things Comin' |
Because I have to work today....on my day off.
And tomorrow....on my other day off.
Which means no day off for me this week.
Which makes me a very cranky girl.
The Good Things Comin' |
I need my quiet time. I need my time away from the office. I need to be able to have a day where I can stay in my jammies all day if I feel like it.
Not that I would....ever.
Wink, wink.
The Good Things Comin' |
I still managed to get a couple of little chores done before leaving for work. The sheets were changed, all the laundry done, and the dishwasher was humming away happily when I left.
The Good Things Comin' |
And my daughter took the most lovely photos of the snowfall this morning, which I am grateful for. (I have linked back to her blog under each photo in case you'd like to pop over for a visit.)
She also brought in wood.
And shoveled the walk.
And when I left for work she was cleaning the lower level.
Teamwork.
Isn't it wonderful?
Thanks for the shoutout mama. I was so content seeing the snow fall this morning. XOXOX
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome, honey - I love the photos you took - I hope you don't mind that I used them when I found them in my camera!! :) xoxo
DeleteHope you get time off next week. I know what you are saying though...when we normally have the time off...we get used to it. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI have another busy week ahead of me, Susie. But I'm home now, and I have the evening to relax, finally, after a very VERY busy weekend. Catching up around blogland now!! xoxo
DeleteWhen you have to work weekends, I don't understand why they don't give you two days off during the week.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
I wish you ran my company, Brenda!! :)
DeleteYES!!! What a wonderful home to come home to after a hard's days work!
ReplyDeleteI really am very blessed, Mary Ann - thank you for putting it in perspective!!
DeleteI also recall that she is one of two that drank your white wine stash , lol...so she owes you :)
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt, Deb!! :)
DeleteNew fallen snow is so beautiful...winter wonderland!
ReplyDeleteIt feels so peaceful with the fresh snow....and the birds chirping at the feeders, the horses next door clomping through the snow.....and all the sounds muffled. Winter peace!
DeleteBeautiful wonderland indeed! The snow always makes me happy too! But having to leave home to work, that would be tough, I agree with you on that one! How sweet of your daughter to do some extra chores for you though, that counts for a lot! Hope things get better for you :)
ReplyDeleteI survived and I'm back home, back in my happy place! Now I'm going to pop around and see what you've all been up to all weekend while I was working!! :)
DeleteOh, no: Working on a day off is just not fun! Thinking of you and hoping for a lighter week to come!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Magali - I might have to take some time to go out for a few runs down the slopes this week to make up for coming in on the weekend!!
DeleteSO SO SO beautiful! You're a lucky lady!

I am, Ellen, and I know it!! xoxo
DeleteWow, such beautiful pictures! Will you be able to take comp time or collect overtime? I have a friend who works for Apple and she works lots and lots of hours.
ReplyDeleteNope....no overtime. I might be able to sneak away for a little ski time this week in lieu of losing my days off.
DeleteLots of "pretty"!
ReplyDeleteHope you didn't have any problems driving on the mountain roads.
No problem with my little trusty Subaru!! Best car ever - I'm on my 2nd Subaru and I wouldn't trade it for anything!!
DeleteI love this post I just read and the photos are gorgeous! Don't have time now but I'll definitely be back to look around - your blog looks so nice and has categories I want to snoop in!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my little world, Sandy! From one mountain to another!!
DeleteI somehow missed this post so I'm back-tracking. Wonderful snow pictures from your daughter. And I just took a look at her blog and love it! Why am I not surprised you have a lovely, creative daughter? I put her blog on my blogroll so I can keep up with it and start leaving her some comments, too.
ReplyDeleteAwww, Melanie, you're so sweet - thank you!! She'll be delighted!!
DeleteBeautiful snow! I just stopped by to visit your daughters blog. She is a very lovely young lady. You must be so proud :) I am following her blog as well. Sorry to hear your days off did not happen this week. Maybe next week will be better!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Karen!! I'm just biding time until Friday evening at this point, plugging away....it feels like a long week!
