Life Is A Gift...Focus On The Present

As a gardener, I think I am always looking for what's blooming next. What's budding. What's doing well. What didn't work. What did better last year.

Sometimes I think I look right past what's blooming now.

I think we do the same in life.

Always looking for what's next.

What's to come.

What the future holds.

Or what happened in the past.

What will be next?

If only...

What about now?

What about what's happening right this very second in your life?

Stop. Be present.

Savor your life.

Via
Taste the sweet peach. Let the juices run down your chin.

Feel the sun warm on your back.

Listen to the birds sing their sweet song.

Smell the roses.

Listen to the wind in the trees. Really hear it.

Feel the breeze on your neck.

There's beauty all around us.

All you have to do is see it.

Stop.

Just be.

Be mindful.

Be present.

Just be.

  1. Beautiful post and reminder! I am usually one who is rushing about, trying to get everything done. I have been more conscious about being mindful these past two years, but something I still need to really work on. Have a great weekend!

  13. Absolutely!! I posted a little blurb on Facebook kind of like this the other day. I love the outdoors so much and wish just a little bit that it didn't have to be 98 degrees outside...that makes it a little hard to stop and enjoy. :)

  17. Lovely thoughts Deb. As humans (most animals aren't like that) we can't help but think about the future and look past the present all too often, but to NEVER heed your advice is sad.
