As you know, we got a whopper of a storm last week, and another on Thursday, which means we will not see grass for quite some time.
Le sigh.
However, I figured out a way to bring a little summer into these winter days - and it was easy peasy, my favorite!
A while back I was contacted by ThermaLeaf® and asked if I was interested in doing a product review for them.
Hey, I'm always interested in new opportunities, so I checked out their page....and I liked what I saw!
ThermaLeaf® is a company that specializes in fire retardant artificial foliage, plants, and trees and is used in many commercial applications, such as hotels, malls, and office buildings. Their products meet local, national, and international fire codes, and are incredibly realistic in appearance! They even have Christmas trees, and they are so life-like I was truly impressed. They also have plants, foliage, palms, trees - you name it. If you are a person with a brown thumb, perhaps this may be the answer you were looking for!
They were kind enough to gift me this set of two wreaths, which was fantastic as I have been looking for a new wreath ever since I painted the doors, back in the fall.
I just adore all the summer colors in these wreaths - paired with the sunny yellow doors, they truly brighten my days!
Just look how the combo of the yellow door and the summery wreath make the front of the house just scream summer.....despite the giant mounds of snow!
When I have the doors open, the wreaths complement the decor inside my house as well.
Plus they make me smile! :)
You wouldn't know, looking at my cheery kitchen, that there's still three feet of snow outside the door!
I'm super happy with my new wreaths, and they are so sturdy and well made I know they are going to brighten my doors for years to come!
I was going to hold off putting them up until the warmer months, but I honestly needed this little spot of summertime right now....it will help get me through the next couple of months, until it's truly spring and gardening season is upon me.
What do you do to get you through these late winter days when you are dreaming of spring?
Ha! I just put up two spring wreaths on the front doors - done with it!!...
ReplyDeleteYours are lovely!
And yet we are gearing up for another winter storm tonight.....oh my gosh I think I'm nearing my wits end with winter storms, Karen Ann!!
DeleteThey are so pretty. I started introducing more live plants into our home to welcome spring.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have room for any more live plants, ha ha!!
DeleteOh my tons of snow, but the door and wreath are amazing.
ReplyDeleteAnd more snow on the way tonight, Marty - yikes!
DeleteGood Morning Debbie, I love your new wreaths and they compliment your doors beautifully. They certainly add a little sunshine to your day. Enjoy your weekend and stay warm and cosy.
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes
Daphne
Thank you, Daphne! They do certainly add some much needed sunshine!!
DeleteYour wreaths are so pretty and yes, you definitely need a breath of summer amidst all of that snow. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteFor sure, Laura! I'm diffusing a lot of citrus scents in the house also, which is helping!
DeleteAdorable! Such pretty colors and quite spring-inspired!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
I'm ready to welcome spring, Brenda, but it's not ready to welcome me!!
DeleteSo pretty Deb. I love the pretty colors on your gorgeous yellow doors. Beautiful. I am so over winter and cannot wait for Spring and Summer. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris
Same here, Kris, I think at this point I've had enough. The sunshine the past couple of days was gorgeous....but tonight we are back in winter storm mode. Yuk.
DeleteDebbie, your wreath looks a lot like a couple I bought two years ago. Such pretty, cheerful colors! And against that yellow door and white backdrop, beautiful. Just imagine what a green backdrop will look like?! I cannot even begin to fathom all the snow. After reading your last post, it confirms every homeowner's worst nightmare for the potential dangers of that much snow. You are definitely a more rugged woman than I - I salute you!
ReplyDeleteI've always lived in the Northeast, Rita, so snow was just part of winter - we expect it. However, by this time in March I'm usually ready for it to ease up!!
DeleteBeautiful wreath! But that snow needs to go bye-bye. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's worse now, Melanie, because it's been dripping off the roof and creating an ice skating rink on my deck!!!
DeleteHi! Those wreaths ae just beautiful and make your home look so welcoming and cheery. I do like the one wreath holder too with the pineapple. How do you keep those wreath holders from scratching up the doors? Nancy
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy! I don't know if the wreath holder is scratching the door because it's always on the door, I always have some sort of a wreath hanging there.
DeleteYour wreath is gorgeous <3
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, right, Ellen? I love all the colors!!
DeleteVery pretty wreath! Couldn't find it on the site though :-(
ReplyDeleteI'll email you the link, AnnMarie....
DeleteHeads up... Spring is in the air!
ReplyDeleteYippee!!!! I feel as if we won't see any green around here for ages, there's just way too much snow on the ground and more every day. It will make spring that much sweeter when it finally arrives!
DeleteTHAT's a good way to deal with the damn snow so close to spring! Stick a cheery summer wreath on the door and look ahead :)
ReplyDeleteWhat other choice do I have, Deb? I'm so tired of shoveling....
DeleteStunning wreaths! WOW! They look great on your doors, too. I live the color you painted them. I am off to check out the wreath company. I want one...
ReplyDeleteWell since I can't have that gorgeous red hydrangea wreath that you keep taunting me with I have to settle for these, Kim!
DeleteYour new wreath looks gorgeous on your door! Yes, bring on Spring! xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be a while until we see grass around here, Donna!
DeleteWhat a perfect addition to add a bit of spring to your cheery yellow door!
ReplyDeleteAnd well needed, Linda - this darned snow just won't quit!!! We're in for another storm tomorrow....sigh. Where's spring?
