Our cold weather has returned, and there's a chill in my bones today. My fingers are stiff as I'm trying to type this post.
I'm glad it's the end of the workweek, and I can't wait to spend some time in my cozy house this weekend.
Which makes me think....to me, my house is so cozy and warm. But, to everyone, there's really no place like home....right?
So obviously, everyone has their own idea of cozy.
Here are some images that make me want to cuddle up for the day in my sweet home.
There's nothing like reading a good book by the fire on a chilly day. Add some cocoa and a throw, and it's pure heaven.
I can just imagine relaxing in a hot bubble bath in this cozy boho bathroom.
With a glass of wine, of course.
I think bookshelves add so much to a room - they just make you want to settle in and relax. I've always been a bookworm!
I love all the textures in this room....and the candlelight, of course.
What's your idea of cozy?
Every one of those images is cozy to me, too! I particularly love low light with candlelight and fireplaces. This time of year I love the scent of balsam and cedar, and I'm always ready to curl up with a good latte, too!
ReplyDeleteI'd love a good cafe mocha right about now!!
DeleteLove the photos! Still hot here. No chill in sight. Have a cozy weekend!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
SO strange, Brenda - it's like we live in alternate universes!!
DeleteWhen I want to be cozy...it's a blanket and coffee on the sofa. Watching a good movie or reading. Wishing you some cozy this weekend. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteI did manage some cozy time with a good book by the fire this weekend, Susie, thanks!
DeleteCozy is being home with family...stay warm and enjoy your weekend in your own cozy home!! : )
ReplyDeleteI love your idea of cozy, Kim!
DeleteOh that first picture does it for me. I love a fire in the fireplace and warm blanket and the cocoa. Trouble is, That's too cozy for reading. I go right to sleep.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, oh well, a nap by the fire is pretty darned cozy also!
DeleteOh- Cozy to me is a fire in the fireplace, the laptop open for browsing and a hot cup of coffee to keep me company..with maybe a grandkid curled up on the floor reading. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh, that's lovely Diana!! I like the way you think!
DeleteI think you and I have the same idea of cozy!! Also that library photo had me wanting to drag my hubby to Lowes RIGHT NOW for lumber to start our built in bookshelves!! Enjoy every moment of your cozy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI was drooling over that library photo, Jen!
DeleteThose are lovely photos. Love your library! I have a bit of one, not like our last house, but it is full of books, and doubles as the dining room. Are you on Goodreads? What are you reading now?
ReplyDeleteI only wish that was my library, Carole!!
DeleteLove this Deborah. I love a wonderful candle lit bath or sitting by a cozy fireplace. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteKris
There's nothing like a candlelit bath to warm the soul!
DeleteYou have found some cozy pictures...makes me want to curl up and read... I am halfway through Louise Penny's latest book. I always hate for the book to end because it will be a while before another one is published. Have a lovely weekend. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm going to have to look her up - thanks for the suggestion, Donna!
DeleteAll of those lovely pictures just scream cozy to me. That bath picture though...swoon! This time of year I have my throws out to cuddle under, a fire in the pellet stove, a nice cup of tea and usually a cat curled up on my lap or next to me. At night I curl up in our cozy bed with it's featherbed and a nice down alternative comforter along with the softest sheets, luxurious pillows and a fleece throw that that cat and I fight over. ;)
ReplyDeleteSounds like heaven, right there in your cozy house, Debbie!
DeleteGreat, cozy photos, and a wonderful question.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite cozy is winter sunshine pouring through a window as I enjoy a pj day nestled on the sofa with my faborite throw and my dog, watching a great movie on TV and eating a hearty bowl of homemade SW soup.
That sounds pretty awesome, no doubt!!
Deletewe had our first bit of frost on our rooftop last night. We were not expecting it... not in the forecast, so it was a surprise. Cozy this morning was a pair of slippers AND socks, a soft warm bathrobe, hot cup of coffee with lots of cream, table lamps, and seeing the pups cuddled in their beds.
ReplyDeleteCozy pups are a huge part of the cozy package for me, also!
DeleteFireplace, bookshelves and candles are all cozy things! Nancy
ReplyDeleteThey sure are, Nancy!
DeleteCozy ... quilts, good food, books, fire in the fireplace, socks on my feet, candles burning.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely image, Dayle!
DeleteCozy is a fire, a book, and Clooney massaging my feet; ).
ReplyDeleteOooh, that would be George, I presume? :)
DeleteBeautiful photos...they all say cozy to me. Though it's hard for me to think of cozy right now...believe it or not, the weather these past few days has been 70 and sunny! :-) I'm sitting here in a tshirt and bare feet. Loving it.
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe our weather is so very different!!
DeleteYour home looks so warm and cozy.
ReplyDeleteThose are dream home photos, not my home.....but mine is pretty cozy also, Marigene!
DeleteYou have a very lovely home. I enjoy looking at the photos. I feel the same when it's too cold, the chill gets to my nerves so I Always have tea time. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week!:)
Tea didn't do the trick for me today, Piccolina!
DeleteIt is damp and dark here today so for me cozy would be a warm fire, curled up on a well-loved and soft sofa with lots of pillows and a warm quilt.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos lovely Lady!
Jemma
Oh, that sounds like heaven, sweet Jemma!!
DeleteCozy is my bulky cable knit throw and down pillows on my sofa with a good book and a cup of coffee or tea. Candles burning, of course -- my favorite scent for this time of year is Fireside by WoodWick. There is no place like home!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a perfect evening to me!
DeleteMy idea of cozy is a big blanket, fuzzy slippers and hot chocolate.
ReplyDeleteLisa
I could use all of that right now, Lisa!
DeleteI love cozy...a great book, some hot chocolate, a nice warm fire and some really cold weather! Would you please send some cold weather down to Dallas?? :-) Love and hugs to you...hope you are doing well!
ReplyDeleteSweet Benita, I've missed you!
