Ok I held out as long as I could.....I have been thinking about decorating for Christmas for WEEKS now!! I tried not to go there until after Thanksgiving but I lost the battle.
Sorry.
I've been thinking about how I'm going to decorate the mantel in my new house. The fireplace is so gorgeous and of course the centerpiece of the room - that's a lot of pressure right there to do it right!
So I've been browsing around for inspiration...as we do....and I thought I'd share some of my favorites.
And what did I discover about myself while browsing around?
I am definitely of the "less is more" mentality.
There will be greenery.
And there will be red.
Enjoy!

I absolutely adore every single one of these choices, so whatever ideas you pull from these gorgeous mantels will be wonderful! I am really taken with the second one and eyeing it for myself! Pinning a few too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the inspiration!
Have a lovely weekend, sweet Lady!

You are so very welcome!! It's amazing how many photos can be found of decorated mantels out there....it took me hours to narrow it down to these!! xo
DeleteLove seeing the mantle inspiration and I love all the greenery!
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you kindly!! I love the greenery myself....it really brings the outside in for a "country" Christmas, which is right up my alley!
DeleteSo pretty...all that red! ;) And what would the mantle be without stockings?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, Kim - of course my stockings are the ones we've had forever and don't match but that's quite alright in my book!!
DeleteLove the mantels. Next house we get, a mantel will be a must.
ReplyDeleteYou need to start making your "must haves" list now, Betty!!
DeleteLess?? These look pretty lush to me Ms. Debbie! lol They are all lovely, but I am partial to mantels with stockings. Here's to 'more' and adios to 'less'.
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea!! These were the "simplest" mantels I saw online - there were some photos I was blown away by but there's just no way that's happening in my house! First of all I actually use my fireplace so I don't want anything that's a fire hazard....second of all I have a full time job!! :)
DeleteThose are pretty mantels! i have not yet decided on ours! Going to wait til after thanksgiving so i have time to still look and decide. Do you put a big tree up?
ReplyDeleteI put up a 7 foot tree....and this year I'm putting a second one in the lower level for my daughters! I'm very excited to decorate my new home for the holidays - can you tell? :)
DeleteGorgeous mantels! Thank you for sharing all this inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Betsy - and thanks for visiting!!
