Putting up the tree is always like a wonderful trip down memory lane. I have been collecting ornaments all my life and my tree reflects so many different occasions through the years.
I'll let the ornaments do the talking.

A tribute to my garden and all my plants |
I have about a million more ornaments on the tree but figured this was enough torture for my blog friends for one day!
Thanks for taking this little stroll down memory lane with me - it was great to have you along!
I thought I'd kept more ornaments. But I guess I didn't. Must have given them away! I love the greenhouse for you the gardener. The prom photos of your two daughters show how much they resemble their mother, who is quite the beauty!

Thank you so much, Brenda!! You're such a sweetie.....obviously blind as a bat but a sweetie regardless!! The greenhouse was from my mom a number of years back - I got my gardening skills from her!
DeleteThis was a treat to read, Debbie! Must be so much fun to pull out those very special ornaments each year! Congrats on the Spotlight over at Kris'!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Amy! Yes, it's my favorite part of decorating each season - pulling out the tins of ornaments and handling each one as we place them on the tree....I love it. Brings back so many memories!
DeleteWhat a fun post, Debbie!!!! Our tree has always been one of memories and moments in life, too. A couple of years ago I gave all the kids "their ornaments" and let them go through and take what they wanted. For the first time ever I did a "themed" tree...and it was fun- but different. Your daughters are really beautiful girls..what a special ornament! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteMy kids are already talking about taking "their" ornaments when they have their own homes - I'm sad just thinking about it!!
DeleteI love that your tree ornaments reflect your life. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laura - me, too!!
DeleteI really really love the mini greenhouse ornament :)

Ahhhh if only it was a real greenhouse in my garden.....how awesome would that be??
DeleteI love your ornaments and the meaning behind them. We have not put up a tree for a couple of years, but when we did most of the ornaments had special meaning too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Betty! My mom doesn't put up a tree any longer either - I can't imagine my home at Christmas without a tree although sometimes I wish I had a slew of elves to do all the work while I'm napping!!
DeleteI enjoyed the memory lane look through the tree :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deb - it's like a trip back in time every year!
DeleteI enjoyed the memory lane look through the tree :)
ReplyDeleteGlittery rooster! Love...
ReplyDeleteYou know, Kim, when I looked at it again I can't tell if it's a rooster or a turkey!! ha ha oh well!!
DeleteBeautiful tree, wonderful memories...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Donna! Thanks for visiting!!
DeleteHow neat to see parts of your life on your Christmas tree.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to decorating after viewing this post.

Oh yayyy I inspired someone to decorate - that's awesome, Lorraine!! The other day when it was so warm out and I was trying to get inspired to decorate I browsed around online also - it worked for me!!
DeleteDebbie your tree tells your story of precious memories and past times shared. Very sweet ornaments and nice share.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Vera
Oh thank you so much for your sweet comment, Vera! Those memories are beyond precious, aren't they?
DeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteYour tree is so full of memories and wonderful stories of your life so far. Beautiful.
Kris
Every place I go I add to the collection, Kris - my sweetie knows that I'm not going home until I have a new ornament for the tree!
